2009 Scholarship Information
The TelecomPioneers Scholarship Program is designed to help further the organization’s education focus and its efforts to build healthy communities through individual and family involvement in community service.
Applications are first screened in the Association office to ensure they contain all of the required information. Qualified applications are then judged by Scholarship Management Services, an independent evaluation firm. The students were judged on community service, school involvement, academic achievement and leadership activities.
The program is open to high school seniors who are family members of Regular Members, Life Members, Associate Members and Honorary Members of TelecomPioneers. A family member is defined in the broadest sense to include immediate and extended family such as brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The student doesnot have to live in the same home as the Pioneer
The winning students each receive a scholarship for $1,000 which will be deposited directly to the school of their choice.
