QWEST PIONEERS TAKE TO THE WEB
Qwest’s Pioneers now have a website presence. The new site contains news and information about the 55,000 Qwest Pioneers who contribute over 1 million hours of service each year. The site features an overview of the Pioneers, detailed information about each of Qwest’s chapters, contact name and numbers, and membership applications. There is also a handy calendar of Pioneer events and activities that is searchable by state.
“The Web site will strengthen the Pioneer organization by increasing communications with current and potential members across the region.” Said Crystal Adams, Qwest Pioneer region manager and the Pioneer site administrator. “Employees can learn about Pioneer activities that they and their families can take part in.”
The TelecomPioneers is the largest industry-related volunteer organization in the world, and all Qwest employees are eligible to join the Qwest Pioneers. Pioneers dedicate their time and talents to worthwhile community service projects that directly support the communities where they live and work. Projects range from education and health care to assisting the disabled and helping the homeless. Projects are designed to meet the needs of the community and the interests of Pioneers and their families.
