The Iowa Falls group of Telecom Pioneers meet once a month for social gatherings.  

The Watkin’s fundraiser last October was a success. We have not yet distributed the funds we made. We will decide at our next meeting where we will donate the moneys.

The December Christmas party was cancelled due to weather problems. We had it in January and called it Christmas in January. There were fourteen present. Our group decided to have Christmas in January in 2009. We had a new Pioneer attending. Her name was Annie Greenawalt and she had worked in Illinois previously.

In February we had ten members present. March 4^th is our next meeting at Porter’s, at 11:30 a.m. The April meeting is on the 15^th at Edgewood in Iowa Falls. We will be having a potluck at noon. If you would like to attend, please let me know at 641-648-3569. The North Central Conference will have a meeting at 10:00 a.m. and then stay for the potluck.

In May we will meet at the new tearoom in Iowa Falls. We will have the Watkin’s fundraiser again next October.

We lost Pioneer Jane Klein. She passed away last Monday, February 18^th.

Evelyn Soesbe’s daughter, Becky, passed away this month. Colleen Tjaden is at Scenic Manor and is having therapy.
