We are are off to a new year in Pioneering. A pretty cold and snowy one too, I might add.
Our Christmas party this year was again a success with thirty-nine people attending at the Knights of Columbus hall in Waterloo on December 13th. A very good show was put on by the West High School Show Chorus with the smiling face of one of our Pioneer's daughters there, Erica Hollingsworth.
Waterloo group have started up the breakfast meetings at The Village Inn again. The February meeting was cold and snowy. We meet March through June, and September through November on the second Thursday at 9:00 a m. Call Judy at 233-8981 for reservations. We will be having our annual picnic on August 14th at the CVABG at noon, and the Christmas party at the K of C on December 11th at noon.
We were able to sell forty-two of the "Caring and Sharing" calendars we get from the MN chapter. We've already had a couple of winners this year. Good luck to all the rest of you folks who support the cause. We use the money we receive ($5 per calendar sold) for charitable giving.
Well I hope you all are looking forward to spring like I am; just too much winter this year.
Yours in Pioneering,
